STAGE MANAGEMENT
Emily's interest in working behind the scenes came from working backstage on summer theatre productions when she was too young to be in the show. She then assumed the role of "Stage Manager" for the Jr/Sr class play as a sophomore. Then, due to limited attendance of the SM in her summer theatre Little Shop of Horrors, Emily basically took the role of Deck Chief unofficially while being in the ensemble of the show.
All of these experiences started pushing Emily towards stage management but it wasn't until college that the focus really solidified. Emily was recruited to be an ASM for Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights - after having worked under the same SM and director as a light board operator in the previous semester - and quickly discovered her love for the position!
Emily was then hired to work at Stagedoor Manor as an ASM/Counselor and is excited to have just finished her fifth summer there! She has also worked as a freelance ASM/SM on many local prodcutions in Pittsburgh with Resonance Works, Pitt Stages, and Aria412.

(Assistant) Stage Manager, Counselor, Transportation Coordinator
I have worked on 20 shows at Stagedoor over 5 years - 10 as ASM and 10 as SM - plays and musicals, with casts ranging from 8 to 30, in 8 different theatres.
I have been a counselor to dozens of campers, many for several years as they requested me again and again.
For the past 3 years, I have coordinated the airport trip where staff pick up around 50-100 campers from their flights or parents at Newark Airport and bring them to camp each session.
The Stephen Sondheim Theater at Stagedoor Manor where I was the Stage Manager for the first musical produced there - Company (directed by Nick Hrutkay)
